PSA: you can wear the same thing more than once! Promise. Here’s a few tips on how to make the shirt and jeans from your sustainable capsule wardrobe work in different ways…

  • Day

An easy breezy outfit for everyday is key. You wanna be comfy yet cute, right? Start with your base – jeans and a shirt. Then amp it up with accessories. A cool cap, classic pair of trainers and sunnies will take the fit from basic and boring to sleek and chic in no time.

  • Night

Take it from day to night by switching up the jacket, adding in funky heels and fancy schmancy jewellery to match your fancy schmancy bag. Et voila! You’re ready for a night on the tiles. Who said you can’t wear that daytime fit to go out out? Not us…

  • Summer

You can’t repeat the same outfit formula for summer, right? Wrong! Roll up those jeans, tie the shirt in a knot and accessorise to your heart's content. Add hot-weather heroes like rattan bags, straw hats, groovy sandals and of course shades.

  • Winter

Beat the brr and winter-proof your wardrobe by adding that staple trench from your timeless capsule wardrobe to your shirt and jeans combo. Then you know the drill – accessories with a woolly hat, cosy scarf, practi-cool boots and a failsafe bag.

Do's and don'ts

We told you we had a few (okay, eight to be exact) tricks up our sleeve. If you want to build a sustainable capsule wardrobe, listen carefully...

Cue the clear out!

So it’s time for the hard part. Instead of keeping those jeans from when you were 21 or that sequin number that was cool in the 80s, why not give them a new home elsewhere? A good way to figure out what you really wear is to turn your hangers round. Then, once you’ve worn it, turn it back round. Reassess after six months or so and any hangers not turned, make a pact to get rid. And by "get rid" we mean donate them, of course.
