Fairtrade cotton – a fairer deal for farmers

Curious about the Fairtrade cotton used in our Red Nose Day range?

The Fairtrade-certified cotton in our Red Nose Day T-shirts, sweatshirts, totes and aprons was grown by farmers in Uganda. Income from the Fairtrade cotton supports cotton farmers and their communities.

The Ugandan cotton is grown using only rain water irrigation and is sourced from the Rwenzori Farmers Marketing Co-operative Society.

Made up of over 400 farmers who've been supported by TK Maxx since 2012, and Comic Relief since 2022, The Co-operative helps increase farmers' capacity to grow top quality cotton, raise their incomes and send their children to school.
