We’re supporting tree planting in Wales with the Woodland Trust

We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and have partnered with the Woodland Trust for over a decade; supporting their work to protect and restore our native woods.

TK Maxx has supported tree planting by donating profit from the sale of carrier bags, sponsoring community tree packs and recycling Christmas cards.

We are donating all the money raised in our Wales stores through the Welsh Assembly’s single use carrier bag charge. This supports the Woodland Trust’s aim of planting 64 million trees across the UK by 2025.

The Woodland Trust provides free tree planting packs for schools and community groups to help support its ambition to double the amount of native woodland in the UK, to benefit wildlife, people and the environment.

If you’re interested in applying for a tree planting pack, please visit the Woodland Trust website

To date we have raised over £933,000 for the Woodland Trust - this has enabled the trust to plant enough trees to cover approximately 60 acres of land – the equivalent of around 24 rugby pitches.

Together we have enabled 254 communities to plant trees locally, and helped over 13,250 children to get out into the woods to learn about the value of our natural environment.
