CANCER RESEARCH UK

Cancer Research UK was one of the first national charities we partnered with back in 2004 and in 2008 we created our “Together for Kids” fund, dedicated to beating childhood cancers.
Give Up Clothes For Good
Since 2004 we have been urging customers and Associates to clear out their wardrobes and bring good quality clothes and homeware to our stores through our biannual campaign. All donations go to Cancer Research UK stores to sell, helping to raise funds for the charity’s important work in researching preventions, treatments and cures for cancer.
Give up Clothes for Good was the message for 2010 and celebrities, fashion icons and models stripped off to help us spread the word. It was all done in the best possible taste and helped us raise an incredible £2.5 million in cash and stock for the Together for Kids fund.

Little Star Awards
We are proud to support Cancer Research UK's Little Star Awards. These awards are an annual event and celebrate the courage of children who are dealing with the challenges of cancer. Any member of the public can nominate a child who has been or is being treated for cancer, and every child nominated is a winner. Since 2008 over 800 children have been nominated as Little Stars.
For the past 3 years, TK Maxx and Cancer Research UK have held an annual Little Starts party to celebrate the bravery of these kids. Held at London Zoo, the party provides entertainment such as arts and crafts tables, a magician, face painters, with the chance to meet celebrities and of course watch celebrity performances.
