THE COMMUNITY FUND

We might be a global business these days with high profile charity partners like Save the Children and Comic Relief. But we think it is important to stay connected with our associates and customers at a very local level.
Our Community Fund helps us support smaller charitable organisations that might be low key on a national level but are very important for our associates and customers – either through personal experiences or due to the support they give in local communities.
Since the Community Fund was created in 2008, we have supported a over 150 local charities for a wide range of reasons. Here are just a few of the people and organisations that have benefitted from the Community Fund to date:
- Bury Hospice, which works to provide end of life and palliative care to people who have been diagnosed with a life limiting disease
- CHICKS, which provides free respite breaks for vulnerable children aged between 8-15 who may be in care, poverty or suffering due to illness or bereavement.
- The Brain Research Trust, which funds vital basic and clinical research into the causes, treatments, prevention and cure of neurological diseases.
- Julia’s House Children’s Hospice, which is based in Dorset, and cares for children with life limiting illnesses, the majority of which won’t live past the age of 16.
