It’s 10 am on a Sunday morning. No alarm clocks and no manic work deadlines. You’ve got all the time in the world for a long, lazy brunch. But what do you wear to suit that easy weekend feeling, while still looking stylish? Here are a few suggestions…
BE THE AFTERNOON TEA LADY
Few traditions are more British than Afternoon Tea (except perhaps queuing?) Squander away an afternoon sampling fine loose teas, the richest of cakes and warm scones. Style it up over the tea doillies in a classic dress and trench. Cream or jam first? Join that eternal debate as you listen to the resident pianist or harpist. Don’t forget to work that elegant look in sandals and a tote. Pinky up over the teacup? Certainly not. Though you might consider flaunting a stunning ring.

KEEP IT CASUAL & COOL
Some weekends, you want to keep things as casual as possible. Time to head over to somewhere chilled out, so you can chat with your mates over fab food and drink. Perhaps a pub outdoors or a relaxed fusion food spot, where you can sample juicy burgers and sip cocktails served over sweet crushed ice. We’ve got outfit suggestions for just such a weekend. Slip on eye-popping patterns and prints, team with metallic accessories and top the look with a smart pair of shades. Easy peasy.

MUSIC WITH YOUR MOJITOS?
How do you add some soul to Sunday brunch? Head to a brunch spot that offers music with your Eggs Benedict. It could be feel-good pop tunes, soulful choir or playful jazz. Whatever floats your (music) boat, find your ideal location and remember to wear something free and easy, so you can sway to the music as you sip a Bloody Mary. Thrown on some skinnies with a patterned top and on-trend trainers and you’ll be ready to add to the chorus.
