Bedding - it's definitely personal. Read on to learn how to pick bedding that suits your sleep.
Feather or Down
Feather and down are both natural, warm, soft and breathable. If you want something that's lightweight yet super snuggly, go for down. If you like your duvet a bit heavier, feather is for you.
Microfibre or hollowFibre
Don't be fooled: quality synthetic duvets give feather and down a run for their money. Microfibre is silky soft and similar to down (just not as airy). Hollowfibre is thick and durable.
If you suffer from allergies, buy a synthetic duvet. Or even better, an anti-allergy duvet.

The higher the tog the warmer the duvet, no matter how light the duvet might feel. To keep your body at its optimum temperature, and help you sleep better, use different togs at different times of year. You can always double up lighter duvets to get a higher tog weight, then go back to one when it warms up.
Summer: 3.0 - 4.5 togs
Spring/Autumn: 7.5 - 10.5 togs
Winter: 12.0 - 13.5 togs

Pillows don't have tog ratings. But when it comes to filling, they're the same as duvets - anti-allergy, feather, down, synthetic - so pick the one that's right for you. Make sure you replace them every two - four years. They have a hard job supporting our heads all night, every night.
