Shift Operations Managers
Controlling the workflow through your team, you'll enable us to consistently meet targets to ensure a continual pipeline of merchandise to the stores. Acting as duty manager for your site, you will plan and execute day-to-day operational strategy and take responsibility for making operational decisions. You'll also ensure your teams are motivated by creating and inclusive and enjoyable working environment. Managerial experience within a manufacturing, processing, distribution or retail environment will be essential. Also important is a good knowledge of team dynamics and the effects of a positive working environment.
Engineering Manager
By managing all maintenance and facilities activities on-site, you'll optimise availability, productivity and performance, helping us get the most from our machinery and equipment. This will involve ensuring an effective preventative maintenance plan is in place and adhered to by your on-site maintenance team. You'll also work in close partnership with the operations team to identify, resolve and communicate issues impacting on production, health & safety, risk management and future opportunities.
To do this, you'll need either a mechanical or electrical engineering qualification, experience of maintenance and facilities management and the ability to lead a team effectively. A familiarity with systems for pneumatics, hydraulics and PLCs will also be vital.
First Line Manager
In this role you'll manage a team of processing associates as they ticket and select merchandise to required quantities for each store. You'll control and organise their workflow to ensure targets are met and that processing and quality standards remain high. Your duties will also include recruiting, developing and monitoring the performance of your team, carrying out their reviews and appraisals and promoting a welcoming and inclusive working atmosphere that maximises productivity.
With previous experience managing effective teams, you'll be able to prioritise work efficiently while setting and achieving measurable targets. Sound people development and coaching skills are important too.
General Manager
Providing visionary leadership to the processing centre, you'll guarantee the efficient and cost-effective storage, processing and onward movement of merchandise. You'll focus on reducing costs while improving operational capabilities and providing a consistently excellent service. This will require in-depth planning and budgeting, plus strong leadership to ensure everyone works together to achieve the ambitious targets you set.
Qualified to degree level or equivalent, you'll already have general management experience in a large distribution, process or manufacturing site. Key to your success will be your ability to motivate, inspire and plan for future achievements.
Process Improvement & Quality Manager
As Process Improvement & Quality Manager, you'll be accountable for the on-going management and leadership of quality and improvement initiatives. This will include managing a team responsible for merchandise control, trading standards and technical training. Working in partnership with the site management teams and your colleagues across throughout the company, you'll create an environment open to new ideas and ready to embrace current and future needs.
Key to this role will be a resilient and persistent management style, as well as the ability to influence people at all levels. A track record of building, developing and managing effective teams will allow you to maximise both individual and site performance.
Loss Prevention Manager
Working closely with the loss prevention team, you'll maintain physical security on-site, promoting a culture where shrink awareness is high. Careful management of your team will enable you to discover areas in need of improvement, and implement the training and development to ensure they're always able to carry our their duties to the highest standard.
Experience of managing a loss prevention or security function will mean you have outstanding people skills, and a good grasp on mixing operational and strategic management. You'll also have a familiarity with shrink reduction and implementation techniques. Some previous distribution experience would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Assistant General Manager
Through the effective management and leadership of your operational team, you'll make sure best standard practises are maintained across the site. You'll control the workflow and meet changing needs, using day-to-day operational strategy to make continuous improvements and deliver results. You'll also work with the general manager on budgeting and forecasting.
In addition to a good level of managerial and commercial experience within a manufacturing, processing or distribution environment, this role requires knowledge of Health & Safety and associated legal requirements. An understanding of team dynamics and the benefits of creating a positive working environment will also be crucial.
Planning Manager
A key part of the management team, your role will be to proactively plan the resources needed to achieve operational targets. By leading the planning team and partnering with your management colleagues, you'll identify and resolve any issues impacting on the delivery of results.
To do this successfully, you'll need to have commercial experience of distribution centres and workflow, coupled with the ability to solve problems and influence effectively. Your ability to analyse and interpret data effectively will also be vital.
