We calculated our carbon footprint in 2006 and are well on our way to meeting our target of reducing this by 10% by the end of 2010. Our achievements include:

• Reducing our UK plastic bag use by 76%
• Winning a Low Carbon Innovation Award for our green fleet of trucks
• Reducing lighting energy consumption by over 20% through a new store energy saving lighting scheme
• Achieving the Carbon Trust Standard accreditation in 2010 for reducing our carbon footprint year on year
